How I evolved…
Growing up I ate as most kids do, plenty of white flour, sugar and sodas, later in life I was introduced to caffeine. However, when I tried to change to a healthier diet I encountered a biased and contradictory world, “the world of nutrition” which many times left me feeling frustrated and confused.
In my twentieths I suffered from gluten-sensitivity, acne, digestive issues, hormonal imbalances, sugar cravings, low blood sugar and bursitis ( inflammation of the joints ). But once I started with a holistic approach of real healing lifestyle change of whole, traditional foods, customized supplements and lifestyle adjustments my life evolved forever. For the first time, I experienced energy all day long, enthusiasm, peace, confidence, great digestion, deep sleep, and a healthy weight.
I hold a bachelors degree from SDSU and graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition ( IIN ) in Holistic Nutritional Counseling. Further I studied with Naturopath and Clinical Nutritionist David Getoff on Optimal Health for the 21th Century, Nutritional Supplements, Detox and Disease Prevention.
I have attended the Healing Foods Cooking Class Series at UCSD and the Traditional Food Preparation Series.
Many of my clients have asked about “my way of eating” therefore I teach the principles and techniques of cooking nourishing, traditional foods according to the principles of The Weston A. Price Foundation®. I am currently working to get Board Certified in Clinical Nutrition (CCN).
Drawing on this knowledge, I will help you create a completely personalized “evolution plan” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals. Healthy eating can be fun, easy and quick! I would love to show you how.
I am committed to help as many people as possible to heal from the root cause using food as medicine so that they can live “freely” with restored, vibrant health. You will then be able to contribute more to your loved ones and the world around you.
I do not advocate any one specific way of eating. I believe every individual has distinct dietary needs based upon genetics, lifestyle, gender, blood type, stress levels, how they ate as a child, current state of health, and future health goals. Therefore, I focus on bio-individuality, while imparting a positive and empowering perspective shift around food that results in greater lifelong food flexibility.
My work also consists on supporting families who do not have access to healthy foods or unbiased nutritional information.
